10/11-10/15

Dear Blue Oaks Families,

We are heading into our second week of October and the weather is finally cooling off. The first pizza celebration was fun and I enjoyed eating pizza with our respect winners.  October is a very busy month, parent teacher conferences, book fair, bear jamboree and more! Please be on the look out for parent teacher conference sign ups. They will be coming out from your child's teacher on Oct. 18th. I also have some important information to share about volunteers and vaccinations. Please read the information below and as always, please let me know if you have any questions.

Vaccine Verification REQUIRED for Volunteers:

Attention parents and family members!  Beginning Monday, 10/15 we are required to check vaccine status for our Category I and/or Category II volunteers. Notification was sent out on Friday with more detailed information but below is a summary:

  • If you are vaccinated, please bring in your vaccine card and show it to our secretaries.  They DO NOT need a copy or make a copy.  They simply need to see it.  This only needs to be done one time.  We will mark you cleared in our system and you are not required to show this again.

  • If you are NOT vaccinated and you would like to continue to volunteer as a Category I or Category II volunteer, you MUST show proof of a negative COVID test within 6 days of being on campus.  Our school secretaries will ask for proof of this requirement upon you signing in.

Thank you for understanding!

Mrs. Cumbra

Safety Updates:

Masks: Thank you for all of your support with mask-wearing. Students and teachers are expected to wear masks while indoors in the classroom. We have extras and will provide one if a child doesn't have one. At this time, students do not need to wear them while outside.

Hand washing and Sanitizing: Students are strongly encouraged to wash hands throughout the day and if they are unable to wash, they can use hand sanitizer.

Visitors on Campus: Please check in at the office. At this time, volunteers are welcome. We have scheduled fingerprinting for this Tuesday by appt only. A message went out earlier this week through SWIFT with more information
