Bear Bulletin 6/5-6/6

Dear Blue Oaks Families,

As we approach the end of another remarkable year, let's take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we have shared together. This year has been filled with challenges, growth, and triumphs, and I am immensely proud of each and every one of our bears.

To our exceptional students, you have shown unwavering resilience, adaptability, and a thirst for knowledge. You have embraced new ways of learning and have shown remarkable dedication to your education. Your enthusiasm, curiosity, and eagerness to explore have been a constant source of inspiration for us all.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our extraordinary staff. Your unwavering commitment to our students' well-being and academic progress has been truly remarkable. You have gone above and beyond to create engaging and inclusive learning environments, ensuring that our students feel supported, empowered, and inspired to reach for their dreams.

To our parents and caregivers, thank you for your constant support and partnership throughout this year. Your collaboration, patience, and understanding have been instrumental in creating a strong foundation for our students' success. Your involvement in our community has made a significant impact on the growth and development of our young learners.

Thank you for being an integral part of our Blue Oaks community. Your contributions, big and small, have made a lasting impact on the lives of our students. I am deeply grateful for your dedication, collaboration, and unwavering support.

Wishing you all a joyous and fulfilling summer break! Don't forget the students are dismissed at 12:50 on Monday and Tuesday!

Dear Fifth Grade Parents,

It is hard to believe that we are already closing up the school year and your children are getting ready to transition to middle school. All of our students have worked hard throughout their time here and especially this year in order to prepare themselves for the next level. In order to celebrate our fifth graders’ transition from elementary school to middle school, we will be hosting a Fifth Grade Promotion Celebration on Tuesday, June 6 from 10:30 - 11:30.

We will open the doors a little after 10:00 to allow folks to find a seat (note: the first three rows are reserved for the 5th Grade Students. The assembly will consist of all students receiving their promotion certificate and the Annual Fifth Grade Slideshow (bring your tissue). After all students have been recognized and the slideshow, we will have a short time to gather and mingle for photos and refreshments in the quad before the students head back to class.

All of our promoting fifth graders have accomplishments to be proud of and we hope you can join us in celebrating this milestone. We look forward to partnering up for one final celebration with our fifth grade families. Thank you for all of your continued support this school year.

Sincerely,

Ms. Pierce, Mr. O’Connor, Mrs. Hernandez, Mrs. Fregeau, and Mrs. Cumbra

My name is Angie DeDora. I moved here in 2005 from the Bay Area. My husband and I have two boys, Braden and Austin, who both went to Blue Oaks Elementary.  Our family loves to golf together, and you’ll frequently find us at our kids’ sporting events.  I have a passion for physical fitness, and my degree focuses on early childhood development. I am excited to be part of the PE department, and enjoy working with such an amazing group of staff and students.

Hi everyone, my name is Alyssa Daebelliehn and I am so excited to be joining Blue Oaks Elementary this year in 1st grade! This will be my third year teaching first grade. When I’m not at school you can find me on a hike, going to farmer’s markets, at a bookstore or coffee shop, and traveling! I can’t wait to meet you all; enjoy your summer!!
